The new Commander of Joint Forces Command has reaffirmed Britain's commitment to safeguard the Falkland Islands.

Speaking during a tour of the Mount Pleasant Complex and a visit to HMS Portland, General Sir Richard Barrons also said Britain's Armed Forces must be ready to work together and embrace the unexpected worldwide.
