British and French Forces have been fully engaged in a major exercise to demonstrate military co-operation between the two countries.

Exercise Griffin Strike is the culmination of six years of work between the UK and French militaries which aims to demonstrate their potential to deploy on operations as the 'Combined Joint Expeditionary Force'.

The Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force have all been involved.

Senior leaders from the Royal Air Force and French Air Force have spoken of their pride in the two air forces' close cooperation, as part of 'Exercise Griffin Strike'.

RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire has been hosting the first fully integrated Anglo-French air exercise to be held at the station.

Eight RAF Typhoons and four French Rafale jets have teamed up for a series of scenarios covering the full spectrum of potential joint operations.
