Sorry I haven't posted a video in a while. I've had nothing to post and I've been really busy. Expect to see the cast recording for Disney's new musical "Frozen" sometime around April.
I made this for a class project to showcases various kinds of musicals to be found on Broadway.
LEGITIMATE MUSICALS: Heavily based on classical musicals such as operas. Example shown: "The Phantom of the Opera".
TRADITIONAL MUSICALS: Originated in the early 20th century and are more speech-based than legit musicals, incorporating belting and chest-singing. Examples shown: "Into the Woods" and "Fiddler on the Roof".
CONTEMPORARY MUSICALS: The music is a mix of traditional and pop/rock music and the singers use stronger belting than in traditional musicals. Examples shown: "The Lion King" and "Wicked".
POP/ROCK MUSICALS: Based on popular genres of mainstream music, such as pop, rock, hip-hop, and even country. Examples shown: "Hamilton" and "Dear Evan Hansen".
