The game is really well voice-acted, full of weirdly combined ideas. The beat em up sections are really fun. The point and click adventure portions are implemented seamlessly. It is a weird blend of super bright, cartoony visuals and characters, with INCREDIBLY BLEAK dystopian science fiction. The main character is driven by the death of his wife, classic hard boiled detective set up. The first other character we interact with is dying of an incurable disease and has been buying drugs to try and off himself comfortably. It is all just so weird.
