South of the Circle - Is it a game if you don't make choices?
5I would argue that linear games with illusory choice are exactly as valid as games with branching decision trees and open worlds. The narrative exists to move the player's emotions. To do that, it has to be tightly paced, and directed, like a movie. A lot of the reviews say that it is basically an interactive movie. I don't have a problem with that. This game is gorgeous, has amazing acting, and a tense, tightly written story told through flashbacks and set pieces. I absolutely love this.
