9Evie continues her search for Piece Of Eden. The notebook stolen from Lucy Thorne mentions it as a Shroud which "is supposed to heal even the gravest injury". It leads her and Henry to Master Assassin Edward Kenway's mansion. There they find a hidden room with a letter and a key, before they are nearly found by Lucy Thorne.
On the other hand, Jacob infiltrates mysterious Lambeth Asylum to find Dr. John Elliotson, the maker of the syrup. There he finds the cruel workings of him on his patients. Jacob disguises himself as a cadaver and assassinates Dr. Elliotson. Thus putting an end to the Starrick's Soothing Syrup.
Having shut one branch of Starrick's enterprise, Jacob looks to loosen the Grandmaster's over London's transportation. Meanwhile, Evie's race for Shroud Of Eden continues as she hopes to gain the upper hand over her enemy... Lucy Thorne.
