Black Metal increases damage received by 50% and has Fast monsters. Perhaps it's what Nightmare would have been if it were more playable.

Played on GZDoom port, with Brutal Doom version 0.18, recorded with MSI Afterburner (but then converted to a smaller video format).
Music plays due to me using the music cheat. It's in the game thanks to Doom Metal Volume 3 music pack, by SGtMarkIV. The actual music is Pit Of Hell by Neurological, a remix of The Pit from Doom 2.

It's hard to explain how difficult the game became. Brutal Doom makes it a lot harder to begin with, but with THIS difficulty setting it becomes insane. Even on Ultra-Violence you die too easily from surprises such as monsters closets, so playing Black Metal downright requires you to know the level before you play it.

Still, Brutal Doom makes Doom ridiculously crazy awesome. You can take an average level set from 20 years ago and play it with this mod, and it'll be good.

Whimsically decided to play MAP27 from Doom 2, Monster Condo, on Black Metal. It's, well, brutal. Every freaking room requires a strategy.

It's also the first time I record something serious with MSI Afterburner. Seems on par, if not better, than Fraps. Except it's free. A little counter-intuitive to set up, however, and like Fraps only works for full-screen programs.
