Bugs and Goblins
0Ghost 'n' Goblins and Battletoads are the only NES games that I own that I've never actually finished. Well, I used to own Ghosts 'n' Goblins, but...
Anyways, I was abusing the hell out of savestates to get through the game when I came across a bug. If you're on the ladder in the final level and collect the key that drops off of the vampire dude at the end, you can bug the game out by climbing back down the ladder instead of up. The character will normally run right until he reaches the door, but since the door is not there he continues to run out of bounds, causing the game to read junk data for the game map. This goes on and on until eventually the game says "fuck it" and forces the level complete.
