Knee-jerk impressions of the free demo version of Builders of Egypt from Strategy Labs. First impressions do matter, and it's entirely apparent why many users experienced a great deal of frustration while attempting to complete the campaigns made available here. For my part, I picked up the game quickly enough, but the lack of information available through the in-game interfaces could truly leave users stumbling about attempting to plan out production chains and manage settlement consumption requirements in a more involved campaign.

Much of this is probably down to Builders of Egypt being in a very unfinished state at the time that the publisher released the demo, but it does leave me with questions about the extent to which the full release will satisfy the less casual audience for city builders.
