Bullet Hell Heroes - Stage 1: Dark green apprentice [MANIAC]
4this isn't the hardest difficulty but i find it hard enough to warrant an upload here. yeah i play shmups every now and again, i've been in the mood recently so. here we are
ANYWAY. this is the very first stage, so obviously there shouldn't be anything too crazy going on. except there is, since it's on the second-hardest difficulty out there (the de facto hardest difficulty is Lunatic and oh GOD i do NOT wanna know)
characters were picked mostly because of their special abilities:
• the first one i send out can summon a ton of homing bullets that do good damage, so i use her to get through the enemy waves and do some good damage on the boss before i inevitably screw up and start using my other characters
• the second one fills the screen with poison. standard damage-over-time effect, not sure if it stacks with the poison from her normal homing bullets (though i would assume it does)
• the third one can leap over stuff and is rendered invincible during that time, creating an escape route if you ever end up in a tight spot. lifesaver during the third phase lemme tell ya. it also sends out -a couple homing carrots- a homing rabbit when you upgrade it
• the fourth (and final) character you don't see me use here but they are, effectively, my "main" character- the one i pumped the most gold into. her special is a standard beam attack that does a ton of damage, but requires you to be directly under the boss. more on that when you DO see her in action on stage 2
