BURGERTIME review for NES

BURGERTIME REVIEW FOR NES.
I've reviewed a lot of conversions of classic single screen arcade games, and you guys know I love them. But in this review, I take a look at a port of Data East's early '80s coin-op Burgertime. It's not a game I've ever been overly keen on, but does this version for the Nintendo Entertainment System do anything to win me over? Or will I just come away from editing this video with an unconquerable need to stuff my face with beef patties?
Data East were certainly cranking out some popular games in the 1980s, with Burgertime preceding the likes of Karate Champ, Heavy Barrell and Bad Dudes Vs. Dragon Ninja. All of those games packed a bit more technical punch and visual flair, though. Released in arcades in 1982, the original game hails from an era when its gameplay and premise were its real selling points almost out of necessity (let's be honest - it's not the biggest treat visually, is it? And it never was.)
This NES conversion, handled by Data East themselves, came some years later, in 1987. Five years ought to be a good span of time for them to perfect and refine things for a home console release, you'd think. But there are reasons why this particular port is poorly regarded. And I blow them wide open in this review.
