Do you like cats? Do you like puzzles? How about snuggling in on a winter's day under a lovely woven quilt. Calico is an abstract family board game that will evoke the feelings of being loved, solving puzzles and snuggling up next to your favourite pet, unless its a gold fish.. then you might consider slithering up next to that.
Calico has players weaving quilts by placing coloured and patterned hex tiles on their player boards. Players score points by creating clusters of three colours so they can sew buttons onto their quilt. They will also be forming different pattern groups that align with different cat quilt pattern objectives. Finally they will score big victory points by completing design goals that has players creating combos of colours and patterns around 3 single hex tiles. If players can optimise the way they draft and place their hex tiles, they will win the game!
