Call of Cthulhu Case Nine – At the Mountains of MacNess (Part H)
84The investigators discovered a door hidden behind a wardrobe in the house, behind which was a tunnel leading into very dark and large caves. Unfortunately for them, they’re far from unoccupied. Worse still, it’s no bear or common beast that calls the place home, but members of an ancient race that predates humanity by hundreds of millions of years.
What are they doing here? Are they working with the Lords of the Silver Twilight and if so, in what capacity? Was it them who took the baby they seek, killed the man leading the dig? All these questions will sadly have to wait, for the investigators have alerted the creatures to their presence. Now there is only one question that matters: will they survive?
