107It’s clear that we’re not going to be able to use the laundry lift system without a ticket, for the one who guards it is impervious to trickery and silliness, such is his indomitable will. We need to get one of the tickets the other inmates have, two of which are people we’ve spoken to before. Persuading them to hand them over is going to mean solving some inventory object puzzles, as it’s very unlikely they’ll just hand them over if we ask, no matter how nicely we do so.
Before we go about getting a ticket, however, there’s one more room left to explore. Perhaps it’s there that everything will click in place, that all which blocks our progress will be cast aside by the secrets we uncover. Will it be a reliquary of indispensable and universally useful items that will be our stalwart companions through the rest of the game? Will Edna be told a plot critical piece of information that will explain all that we’ve seen and will later see? Will it be here that the paper cup has its crowning moment of awesome, saving the lives of not just Edna and Harvey, but all life in the universe?
