105From the shadows of the past an old acquaintance returns, their own line of enquiries linking with those of the investigators. An ally is a wonderful thing to have but with it comes additional problems, not least that they may have goals not entirely aligned with yours. As benevolent as they are and as knowledgable as they think they are, will their actions cause more harm then good in the long run?
Either way, the group need to come up with a plan of action before those that pursue them find one first. The investigators are fewer in number, less knowing of the terrible truths of the mythos – with the possible exception of Violet – and blissfully unaware of the true goals of the lodge members, if they do indeed have an ulterior motive… and let’s face it, they do?
But what can they do? And how can they shoehorn polar bears into said solution? ...No, you didn’t read that wrong, trust me.
