Call of Sentinels | NEW - Roguelike with a striking, hand-animated art style and intense combat!!
Call of Sentinels is a new roguelike with satisfying, and complex combat in all the right ways. It captures the sense of satisfying repetition that games like Hades manage to make enjoyable. Call of Sentinels is a beat ‘em up adventure game in a medieval fantasy setting with gods and monsters, where we fight hordes of monsters in the arena or playing the campaign. You begin with two weapons: a spear for ranged strikes and an axe for close quarters fighting. Later on, a few more unlock. You can enable auto-aim to closest target if you'd rather not worry about aiming. There's also a dash to get out of the way. Except for rare money and health, enemies don’t give you anything, and you don’t level up either. The only way to get better is to accept tasks that show up somewhere in the arena. They only stay up for a limited number of time so you need to be quick. Tasks are very basic, such as defeat enemies within a circle, stay within a circle, kill a stronger enemy, and so on. When you complete it, you can select a perk for one of your two weapons or dash. Your performance will determine how many perks are available for you to select from. For example, you will only receive one perk if you run out of time or don't kill enough adversaries, but performing well will add three perks. You can enhance a perk up to three times by only choosing the same one.Another thing is that tasks belong to certain deity, and you might have more of them show up at the same time. The best way is to try to focus on a single one. That’s because you might get a legendary perk when you have a lot belonging to the same deity. Once you meet your demise, you can use coins to improve your character. You can add more speed, health, rewards, and several others. The selection isn’t big, but it slowly makes a difference and allows you to beat stages. Reward for beating a stage is a new character. This is not that big of a deal because you still have the same weapons. The only difference is the selection of deities tied to a character. Each one has three out of available five. Except for a slight grind mechanics due to difficulty. Hope enjoy my video.
