From the rooftop of the Machine Yard, I spot some Monolith far to the west, going south across the main road and down the path between the flooded areas. Even though it is at a far range, difficult for accuracy due to the bullet drop, I use my FN F2000 to halt their progress and kill them all. Or do I? Taking my Companions out to the bodies, I find three of them and then I hear gunfire behind me, and my Companions killed the fourth I may have only wounded, or he hid after his buddies died. Either way there was some decent loot. The sun was coming up and it was time to go check out the mutants.

I went to empty a stash but instead of leading my Companions around the large expanse of water to go north to the mutants, I went across the water directly to them alone and started blasting the tushkano with my shotgun from the relative safety of being in the water. I got most all of them but then my Companions arrived, taking out the stragglers that tried to flee. Now it was time to go back south.

We went to the Village Ruins and again I was up on the water tower looking for inspiration of which path to take. We went south to the Pump Station, for another activated stash and then continued south to the Fishing Hamlet where we arrived just in time to find a large group of Zombies entering from the other side. Back to the Clear Sky Base for rewards, repairs and I bought the Clear Sky leather jacket to add to my collection.
