In the last video I discovered that the Duty Faction and the Loner Faction had declared War on each other three hours earlier and I had missed it. However, my last good manual save, before that all happened would have me going back in time over six hours and so that's what I did. Whenever playing CotZ, be aware that Faction changes are dynamic and if what happens to you is counter-productive to your wants and needs, just go back in time like I did. Not making frequent manual saves? You're out of luck if you don't.
