From the tallest roof of the Bandit Base, I spotted a Burer far to the south near the hidden pass to Garbage. Only my Gauss Gun could reach out to touch him, but it took a few tries. This led to me going to the far south to get my trophy part from his corpse. I met the same lone Freedom soldier in a SEVA suit, down at the Pig Farm. He warned me there were mutants to the north, which I just came from. This made me more cautious returning and a Bloodsucker caught my eye to the northwest from the Lake. I shot it with my Gauss Gun but instead of dropping dead, the Bloodsucker turned invisible. Of course, with my experience with Bloodsuckers that didn't help it.

When I returned to the Bandit Base, I spotted three tushkano in the hills to the south. Three tushkano, three bullets, what more do you need?
