This is a challenge for Digimon World where I have to learn a new technique from every battle that I get into. There are a lot of battles that you need to get into in order to be able to complete the game. There is a limit to the number of techniques that get used by Digimon who need to be beaten for game completion. The quantity of techniques that get used by opposing Digimon might not be great enough in order for it to be possible to learn a new technique from every battle. Therefore, it might not be possible to complete the whole of the game under these restrictions. However, I aim to make as much progress as I'm physically able to while having to learn a new technique from every battle.

Random battles will have to be avoided at all costs; I can't be learning techniques from unnecessary battles as this would leave me with less techniques to learn from the mandatory battles. It is permitted for my Digimon to fade away and for me to have multiple lifespans. However, it is not permitted for me to lose techniques from running out of lives as this would enable me to re-learn techniques that had previously been known, taking away from the challenge. Once a technique gets mastered it has to stay there for the rest of the game.

I began the challenge with Agumon, and had Spit Fire as my only technique. My first battle was against the opposing Agumon, who I learned Sonic Jab from; this is the only technique that I could've learned from him since he only uses Spit Fire and Sonic Jab. I proceeded by recruiting Betamon, Centarumon, Coelamon, Bakemon, Penguinmon, Sukamon, Biyomon, Elecmon, Unimon and Shellmon, bringing myself up to 16 Prosperity Points.

I defeated Ogremon at the Great Canyon, learning Fire Tower. I also defeated Ogremon at the Ogre Fortress, learning Heat Laser. I managed to avoid the Goburimon at the Great Canyon Bridge, enabling me to recruit Shellmon without the expense of a battle. I collected a Mouldy Meat and Hispeed Disk from the Amida Forest while recruiting Centarumon. I would've also grinded for a HappyMushroom but had already found one at the Native Forest. The Mouldy Meat was used to make Agumon sick in Freezeland which resulted in Frigimon rescuing us, thus taking the first step towards recruiting Frigimon. The HappyMushroom and Hispeed Disk were traded with the Mojyamons in Freezeland, putting us closer to Mojyamon's recruitment. I visited the Secret Item Shop in Gear Savanna and purchased Digimon Cards worth 300 Merit Points at the Volume Villa. When all of this was done Agumon Digivolved; he Digivolved to Monochromon.

With Monochromon I recruited Seadramon, Kuwagamon Greymon, Kabuterimon, Tyrannomon, Birdramon and Monochromon, bringing myself up to 30 Prosperity Points. I learned Red Inferno from Greymon, Tremor from Tyrannomon, Meltdown from Meteormon and Prominence Beam from Birdramon. I also defeated the Drimogemon at the Drill Tunnel, learning Megaton Punch. I did the dirt carrying for the other Drimogemon but chose not to go to the Lava Cave there and then.

Monochromon Digivolved to Vademon. With Vademon I recruited Mamemon and Ninjamon, bringing myself up to 35 Prosperity Points. I learned Full Power from Mamemon and Charm Perfume from Ninjamon. I also saw to some of Grey Lord's Mansion. I aided Myotismon, collected all of the items and defeated Tekkamon, learning Devolve Programme from him. I went no further with Grey Lord's Mansion; the battle against SkullGreymon has to wait until I have a more suitable Digimon. My priority with Vademon and Grey Lord's Mansion was to get Tekkamon out of the way. Once all of this was done I waited for Vademon to fade away.

I chose the pink egg and took advantage of the Tanemon Bug, enabling me to upgrade the whole of the Gym in a single lifespan. When that was done Tanemon Digivolved to Palmon. I used her to defeat the Palmon in the Native Forest, learning Poison Powder from the battle. Shortly afterwards Palmon Digivolved to Whamon. I then recruited Frigimon, Whamon and Garurumon, bringing myself up to 42 Prosperity Points. I learned Ice Statue from the first Garurumon battle, and Giga Freeze from the second Garurumon battle. I learned Winter blast from the Ogremon battle which results in you recruiting Whamon. I also defeated the Otamamon at the Geko Swamp, learning Water Blitz. This gave me access to the Volume Villa, where I purchased the Amazing Rod. I made it past the Guardromons at Factorial Town and collected all of the available items. I didn't battle any Digimon in Factorial Town; I just wanted to get the Guardomons out of the way so that I'd have a clear path in the future.

This part (Part 1) ended with me in the Ice Sanctuary, pursuing Angemon's recruit. I had the battle against the Icemon and 2 Hyogamon's ahead of me, with Ice Needle being all that I can learn from the battle.
