12Hello there, all you wonderful people, and welcome to another live stream of An Ecologist Plays, where we talk about nature while playing games! Today, we are doing a fun live stream of Icarus, which is a game we recently started playing (and have been enjoying a lot! In this game, we are prospecters on a hostile planet, and have to try to stay alive. We will be playing an Open World game, which has a focus on base-building and exploring rather than missions. But things are never straight-forward, and we have to contend with the usual suspects of a survival game (wildlife, thirst and hunger), as well as oxygen levels in our space suits, and an unforgiving weather system... Of course, as we play through the game, I will be discussing the ecology and adaptations of the various plants and animals we encounter, and answering any questions you may have.
The live stream will run 18:00-21:00 South African time (UTC+2), so come join us then for a nice, relaxing stream.
