8Hello there, all you wonderful people, and welcome to another live stream of An Ecologist Plays, where we talk about nature while playing games! Today, we are doing another fun live stream of Icarus, which is a game we recently started playing (and have been enjoying a lot! In this game, we are prospecters on a hostile planet, and have to try to stay alive. We will be playing an Open World game, which has a focus on base-building and exploring rather than missions. But things are never straight-forward, and we have to contend with the usual suspects of a survival game (wildlife, thirst and hunger), as well as oxygen levels in our space suits, and an unforgiving weather system... Of course, as we play through the game, I will be discussing the ecology and adaptations of the various plants and animals we encounter, and answering any questions you may have.
The live stream will run 18:00-21:00 South African time (UTC+2), so come join us then for a nice, relaxing stream.
