83Soviet Mission 2 BRUTE FORCE in Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, this is a second mission in the fan Soviet Campaign made by DieSystem. Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is a 2.5D real-time strategy computer game by Westwood Pacific, which was released for Microsoft Windows on October 23, 2000 as the follow-up to Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Set in the early 1970s, Red Alert 2 supposedly picks up at the conclusion of the Allied campaign of the first game, but this has been subject to debate. Its expansion is Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge.
This mission takes place in St. Petersburg, our objective is just to destroy the Genetic Mutator, a fairly easy mission without surprises. Unfortunately and don't know why, we are pretty limited in the technology to laughable V3s as an artillery unit for Soviets. But we still have old, good, sturdy and reliable Rhino tanks to knock out most of the Yuri... I mean Alien buildings in the outpost. There are a total of 4 Oil Derricks to capture, one of them is nearby your main base, two to the south near gem expansion and one near Alien outpost. The ore and gems are pretty scarce here on this map, the level is quite small but fortunately it is enough for you to finish the mission quickly. You only should look at the Genetic Mutator if you use tons of infantry during the playthrough, but one Attack Dog is enough to trigger it. Most of the attacks at your base are also standard, Lasher and Gattling tanks with some Brutes as a support, bunkers with Conscripts are enough to defend. It is a good way to capture some of the buildings inside an outpost to have production facilities a lot closer to the main base with Genetic Mutator. The main objective of this mission is to destroy the Genetic Mutator, once it's done you have to finish all the remaining buildings on map. Thankfully, the sellout happens instantly once all of the non-defensive buildings are destroyed to trigger the Mission Accomplished.
