Capcom vs SNK 2 is a stone cold classic in the eyes of fighting game fans, and it's due to this that I decided to return to the first game in the series...

Released in 2000, the first Capcom vs SNK had an interesting development cycle and left fans confused as to why these rival companies had decided to join forces out of nowhere.

Over the years, its sequel has eclipsed it in popularity due to its larger character roster, improved gameplay mechanics, etc., but it CvS2 couldn't have happened without the game that came before it, so this video aims to analyze the first game and to explain how it came about.
