Path of Legends
In Path of Legends, the player aims to defeat five giant and powerful Pokémon known as "Titan Pokémon" scattered about Paldea. At each encounter with a Titan Pokémon, the Titan consumes a Herba Mystica, which the player aims to collect. The player works with a boy named Arven, the son of Professor Sada (in Scarlet) or Professor Turo (in Violet), to collect all five Herba Mystica. Arven uses the Herba Mystica in hopes that it will restore the health of his pet Mabosstiff, which was injured under mysterious circumstances in the crater at the Paldea region's center. Upon collecting all five and restoring Mabosstiff's health, Professor Sada/Turo calls the player, and requests Arven unlock the entrance to their laboratory. Once there, the Professor encourages the two to go to the Great Crater of Paldea, a large crater in the center of the region, and to bring Koraidon/Miraidon and the Scarlet/Violet Book with them, as well as any needed allies. The player and Arven choose to go, but after one last battle with Arven, he decides they need extra help, and encourages the player to get some allies.
Starfall Street
In Starfall Street, the player aims to defeat Team Star, a criminal group that has caused bullying at the Naranja/Uva Academy. They are enlisted by Cassiopeia, who is later revealed to be the founder of Team Star, into "Operation Starfall", and are tasked with defeating the boss of each of Team Star's five squads. They are assisted by Clavell, the Academy's director, disguised as a student named Clive, who is attempting to figure out how and why Team Star came to be. The player learns that Team Star was founded to counter bullying and stood up to their bullies around two years before Scarlet and Violet take place. After Team Star stood up to the bullies, the bullies dropped out of school, and several staff members, including the previous director, resigned from their positions in recognition of their failure to handle the situation. Upon all five bases being cleared out, Cassiopeia requests the player meet them at the Academy Schoolyard after dark for a final battle to properly dissolve Team Star. Clavell battles the player to make sure they are up to the task, before allowing them to go to the Schoolyard. There, Penny is revealed to be Cassiopeia, and the player battles her. Upon her defeat, Clavell announces that he has reconsidered his earlier stance of expelling any student that is a part of Team Star, and that Team Star will be allowed to continue, making peace with the group. However, based on other violations Team Star made, they were forced to be in community service as Star Training Center staff. Penny was let off easy after confessing to hacking the banks for LP.
The Way Home
After completing the previous three storylines, the Professor requests the player to come to their lab in the Great Crater of Paldea. Alongside Arven and the gathered help of Nemona and Penny, the four travel to Area Zero, which is inside of the Great Crater, and on the way to the lab, encounter Paradox Pokémon; variations of Pokémon brought from the ancient past (in Scarlet) or the distant future (in Violet). Upon making it to the lowest level where the lab is, the Professor reveals more Paradox Pokémon are contained within the lab, and upon opening it, the group is attacked by several Paradox Pokémon, as well as a second Koraidon/Miraidon. The player goes inside as the others hold off the Paradox Pokémon, where they encounter the Professor. The Professor reveals themselves to be an AI based off of the real Professor, who tragically died long before the events of the game. They reveal that the player's Koraidon/Miraidon fled Area Zero after losing a territorial dispute with the other Koraidon
