It appears to be a massive aquatic beast that would be more at home underwater than in the air. It has been beached for more than a year on the western borders of the Caspian Sea. It doesn't appear to be anything that could ever fly.
The Sea Monster of the Caspian, one of the most spectacular aircraft ever created, was once again in motion in July 2020 after sitting dormant for more than three decades. This was most likely its final journey.
A fleet of three tugs and two escort ships moved gently along the Caspian Sea's coastlines for 14 hours before delivering their hefty, unusual cargo to its final destination, a section of coastline close to Russia's southernmost point.
