The Emissaries of Alexander finally make their way to Wolfpine, only to find out that their worst fears about it have been realized. Along with the tips gained from the letter than bandits were carrying as well as another run-in with a liquor merchant, they are warned that something sinister was afoot. Upon arriving, they found the town in a dilapidated state. Buildings were falling in disrepair, the Church completely ransacked, and people homeless or dying in the streets.

Upon splitting up, the party learn more about the people who live there. Turns out Lord Duke Sebastian Grayson the 3rd Esquire, a man from Zidoria only fairly recently put in charge as of nearly a year prior has been heavily taxing the townsfolk for almost everything they have, enforcing it with plenty of hired muscle. The town was even split off into two districts of nobles and commoners with the nobles protected by high walls and several guards.

During a minor infiltration to remove their wanted posters from a nearly empty tavern and Inn, Chase meets Atticus Blake, a Pirate who had fallen on hard times and gone missing, according to Ryudo. He's serving as Lord Duke Sebastian Grayson the 3rd Esquire's right hand man for reasons unknown.

With nothing else they could do, the party leave town to figure out a plan to help the people of Wolfpine. They ask Ryudo for help and he sends the one member of the crew who could effectively cause the most damage: The Goblin Engineer Vhyx, sister of Rhyxie. They plan to meet in the Goblin village south of Wolfpine Pass. With the amulet given to them by Chief Stiggs and a promise to aid them and get them to the sanctuary of the Goblin Village outside of Aquarine, the Goblins agree to help provide a distraction, alongside Vhyx, as the team infiltrate the manor of Lord Duke Sebastian Grayson the 3rd Esquire and free the town of his tyranny.

However, something still feels off, as throughout their time there, Nehiri hasn't been feeling herself... and that is where our story continues.
