A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME | Roll for Initiative - Episode 24
15Support the stream: https://streamlabs.com/KagatoTheFinalBoss The party found themselves aboard the Tidebringer, ship and home to the Abyssal Pirates, a crew that had been assisting and guiding the team in bits and pieces throughout their adventure so far, yet all was still not well as Kayli had been finally captured by her nemesis: Jaymas. Before the party would make their way adventuring across the seas to figure out the mysteries behind the gates, they had to rescue her first.
They gathered up their gear and prepared for the fight, Nehiri and Ryudo choosing to join the fight directly while the other Pirates assisted from their ship. With a grand entrance only someone like Ryudo would come up with, Jaymas was heavily distracted, allowing the rest of the party a chance to find and free Kayli.
Splitting their forces and fighting off waves of hired hands, the party found a way below deck and continued to fight their way to the back where Kayli was held prisoner while others remained topside to keep the minions busy.
Jaymas would soon reveal himself, Ryudo nowhere to be seen, and join the fight while having the Pirate captain of Jaymas's ship summon a pair of golems to assist, though their power was completely nullified due to Ren gathering them, as well as the Captain himself and a few minions, all in one place and distracting them long enough to give the rest of the party breathing room to deal with Jaymas personally.
Ren was able to set some charges to blow the ship sky high, but unfortunately they were discovered once the cloud of darkness surrounding it disappeared and was quickly dealt with, but there was still a backup plan in place as the group continued to fight on. However, Jaymas, too, had a trump card of his own, revealing that in their scuffle, he managed to overpower Ryudo and charm him, sending him to fight the party, though it was over as quickly as it began when Evelyn dispelled the charm almost immediately, allowing Ryudo a chance to join the fight once more.
During the battle, Bell would proceed to create an even further distraction using his potion of Haste and his magic to set the ship ablaze. Skylert would keep Jaymas's attention firmly, refusing to go down. Anoran would almost single-handedly wipe out the minions below deck, allowing Chase the opportunity to set Kayli free, and the Pirates would assist with skills and spells of their own, Tsunami especially getting involved by growing to enormous sizes and wiping out several minions and the Pirate Captain, which in turn deactivated the golems, leaving Jaymas to fight on his own. Though he didn't go down without a fight, he eventually had to give up and run after a serious blow dealt to him by Anoran. But before he ran, he saw Kayli, freed and on her way to escape, and before he disappeared, he revealed to her that no matter where she goes, she'll still need him, because he knows where her parents are.
