Just a quick recording to show the Microsoft wired 360 controller working in OS X 10.8.4, and playing a quick bit of Castle Crashers with it.

To use the controller you need to download and install some 3rd party drivers from tattiebogle.

These can be found here with installer packages.

I would recommend the 0.11 version, as 0.12 did not work and was quite the hassle to remove. I spent quite a bit of time in the Terminal tracking down all it's components and removing it, then making the system forget about it. So as to install the lower numbered version.

So just stick with 0.11.

If you're using a 3rd party controller, there is also an extra script you can run which adds support for up to 65 extra devices.

Please follow all instructions in the read me. There is no guarantee that 3rd party controllers will work.
I had to return a GameStop 360 wired controller, because it simply would not work under OS X.

Castle Crashers is developed and owned by Behemoth, all rights belong to them.

I'm Al Valentyn AKA N19h7m4r3 in some games. I'm an IT guy that developed an interest in Apple computers during my studies. These days I'm making Mac gaming videos in my spare time. I release new videos for YouTube nearly every weekday. These range from short How To videos, to Let's Plays and information on new Mac games. You should stay and have a look around, you might find something you like and enjoy. I cover awesome classic games, super cool indie games, and sometimes new releases. It's nothing too fancy, and most of the time I don't have a clue what's happening in the games. That seems to make them more enjoyable personally. Now click that sub button and nobody get's hurt, at worst they get to see some games on a platform no one thought could play games.
