Castlevania II (NES): Simon's Quest: Part 6: Mythical Graveyard Ducks
I had timed entering into Braham Mansion just before the sun went down. So I soon as I left the mansion, the sun did just that.
From there, I go east from the mansion to get back on the Ferryman's boat. I used Dracula's Heart to have him take me on a secret route that led to Braham Mansion, but take a normal route, and he'll instead lead you to the Town of Aldra. This is a huge town to navigate.
But since it was nighttime, I ignored it for a bit to travel west of it to reach the Sadam Woods. Take the stairs underground in that area to reach the Storigoi Graveyard. Watch out for the fake floors you can find underground along the way. When you reach the graveyard, there will be skeletons, slimes, Bone Dragons, and monster hands to fight, here.
Go to the west-most end of this graveyard and drop some Garlic at a specific spot. It will spawn another robed man that will give you a Silk Bag, which increases the amount of Garlic and Laurels you can carry on you.
----------
I eventually return to the Town of Aldra. At 08:41, you can find the woman there that gives you the legendary advice.
"GET A SILK BAG FROM THE GRAVEYARD DUCK TO LIVE LONGER".
This hint assumes that there's a duck waiting for you in the Storigoi Graveyard to hand you that Silk Bag, but this is not actually case!
This was a situation of the lack of punctuation! It should've said: "Get a Silk Bag from the Graveyard. Duck to live longer." as in there should've been a period between "graveyard" and "duck".
It was actually "duck" as in "crouch". If you have Simon crouch during that graveyard trek, you'd dodge the fireballs that the Bone Dragons spit at you, and thus you don't take damage and as such "live longer".
The robed man was the "duck", per se, because he gave you the Silk Bag in that graveyard. I hope this cleared up any confusion! This is one of the main reasons why I played through the original version of this game and not use any mod enhancements!
In another hidden room in the Town of Aldra, you can buy some more Garlic, but I won't worry about that too much, now.
Lastly, there's a gray man in this town that will swap your Blue Crystal for a Red Crystal. You'll need that very much, later.
----------
Go back through Sadam Woods. This time ignore the stairs and keep going right. You'll eventually reach the Town of Ondol.
Once again, it was dark when I got there, but I decided to wait for time to pass (and even skipped some footage of it in the video), so I could get more things done.
In the daytime of the Town of Ondol, there's a hidden room that will already be open. Head down there, and you can find a robed man that will upgrade your whip to a Morning Star for a whopping 200 Hearts. This will make it longer AND stronger!
In a different hidden room in this town, you can buy more Laurels.
----------
West of the Town of Ondol is Deborah Cliff. Besides the spookier enemies, here, there are more jumping blocks to use to cross over water.
At the very end, stand on the last cliff and crouch. If you have the Red Crystal on you, then after a few seconds, you will be Warp Whistled away by a tornado towards the entrance to the next mansion: Bodley Mansion.
