Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Part 67: Unleashed! The Wrath of Monado Malos!
5Rex's team have reached the Balquors Ruins of the Cliffs of Morytha. Malos was waiting for them there...
Malos saw from there that Nia had finally revealed herself as a Flesh Eater Blade. He's known this from her ever seen they met, which means he's always known her as a girl that ran away not only from the world, but from herself.
Rex was wise to believe that Pyra was still alive despite what Malos did to her, since they shared half of the same Core Crystal.
Either the data he stole from Pyra's Core Crystal, he regained his full power: the power of destruction! This power would've disintegrated Zeke had Nia not used her powerful healing abilities to save him. As she already figured out for herself, before, Nia was no longer afraid to run away from herself, and it was thanks to Rex that helped her realize that.
Malos' destructive powers were no match against Nia's powers or restoration. "There is no wound you can inflict that I cannot heal!"

At full power, Malos seems to have... his own Monado! And since he's a Blade, that would make him, Pyra, and Mythra living Monados!
Just like in Xenoblade 1, having a Monado means having different Monado Arts, and Malos WILL use these on you, such as Monado Armor, Monado Eater, Monado Cyclone, and even a new Monado Jail, which can Shackle Blades out of their support of their Drivers for a few seconds.
I tried go for a tanking approach with this fight. It seemed to have worked.
But for a boss like this, you need to focus on installing Elementals Orbs onto the boss through Blade Combos. Then when you feel like their HP is low enough, finish them off with a powered-up Chain Attack!

Ultimately, the cutscene afterwards shows that it was mainly Nia that was fighting against Malos. She was holding her own against the dark Aegis, but Malos was still too strong.
So Nia thought of a new plan with Rex. Together, they made Malos absorb several globs of water ether into his body.
And then Nia rapidly and radically accelerated Malos' body cells through her healing powers. It was at such a critical rate that it forced Malos's body that bulge and break out.
In other words... Nia just gave Malos cancer.
This forced Malos to back up and then fall off the ledge. It looked like he was finally defeated.
Nia, with her newfound family, then continued through the Cliffs of Morytha to help Rex find Pyra.

The rest of this video is more exploration of the Cliffs of Morytha. As in more things with the Merc Missions, as well as getting those Quests for those Nopon sisters. I even find more unique monsters and Secret Areas, including a spot that contains the Level 100 Driver: Gladiator Orion.
I eventually see a lot of what else I do here before moving on to the next fights of this area and some of the most important events in the entire game.
