Castlevania II is one of the most cryptic games in existence. You'd be hard-pressed to find your way in this game without using a guide. From a pure gameplay perspective, it's much easier than its predecessor, but since it's so inscrutable, it can also be considered to be ridiculously difficult. So yes, I used a guide. In Japan, the game only ever came out on Famicom Disk System and was never released on cartridge like it did here. The Japanese title, "Dracula II: Noroi no fuuin", translates to, "Dracula II: The Cursed Seal." -- Castlevania Anniversary Collection for Nintendo Switch.
