Cavalcadence plays Mary 105: 13-damage spear! (All Zones Mode: AMPLIFIED)
So I was playing some normal Mary runs, when in 1-2, the game decided to present her with a Glass Shovel, Armor... and Axe! Of course, IMO Glass Axe isn't the safest of the Glass weapons for Mary... but it is a pretty fun weapon, so I figured, sure, why not? The Armor will make things safer... and having a 4-damage weapon will definitely be useful! =)
Unfortunately, I wasn't playing as well as I would've liked, and the Glass Armor only lasted until 2-1. ^^;; So, given the way I was playing, I decided that not spending too much time on each level, in order to reduce the number of opportunities for any further careless mistakes... would probably be safest. So that's basically what I did. ^^
Anyway, long story short, starting in 2-3, the game started offering Mary a number of damage-boosting items (and a glass spear!)... and by the end of the run, she'd managed to end up with a 13-damage spear. =)
Of course, if I'd spent more time exploring, I probably could've gotten the damage even higher... but given the way I was playing, the extra exploring probably would've resulted in a run-ending careless mistake, so... ^.^
In any case, I'm pretty sure this is the highest-damage spear I've ever completed a run with! =)
