So it does have a story after all. Kind of. The artwork is very well detailed. I am impressed. I just never let it run past the title screen before so I didn't see it.


I guess this just sets up Pentaro's adventure. Why did he travel to Woodland Town to dungeon dive? Fame? Fortune? Girls? Maybe he owes someone a lot of money and prefers to keep his kneecaps intact? We will probably never know. The manual or box art might have some insight. But I can't read Japanese.


Also, I'm reading that you can pick a female character. But I just started as Pentaro. Maybe it's on the rename screen? Maybe I missed something or pressed the wrong button. Oh well. I've grown fond of Pentaro and his dancey dancey self.
