Got a contract to repair a Churchill AVRE, an engineering / assault tank from WW2!

AVRE = Assault Vehicle Royal Engineers

Based on probably the Churchill III chassis, the Churchill AVRE is armed with a 290 mortar mainly for demolition and obstacle removal. The round was nicknamed "flying dustbin". The tank was unusual in that it has two side hatches for the engineer crew to exit the vehicle, and do some demolition work. AND the mortar was loaded from the OUTSIDE. It is a member of "Hobart's Funnies", the specialized tank variants named after British General Percy Hobart. These specialized tanks were deemed necessary after the failure of the Raid on Dieppe in 1942, and were found to be useful in the D-day invasion of Normandy.
