Welcome to today's CDP, this time centered on showcasing both the power and consistency of the brand new Shinobird/Shinobaron support cards that will come into the game in AGOV. The primary archetype today is most known for being the first WIND Ritual theme, and if you missed my last time covering this theme, I'd suggest starting there: https://youtu.be/rDYqe788kZM

As most of the general gameplan has remained the same, I'm going to focus on what makes the Shinobarons tick now, especially with all the cool new support cards. First up is the new Field Spell, The Himorogi where Stars Align. This Field Spell can tribute any Spirit monster(s) or Shinobird Tokens you control to Ritual Summon any WIND Ritual from the deck. This means your Baron and Baronness have never been more accessible, plus it actually ties existing Spirit support even better to the deck. Use Sakitama or Nikitama as a tribute, and you'll even get additional advantage back for doing so! Now this Field Spell also carries a second effect which can trigger twice per turn, and that gives you the choice of either recovering a Ritual Spell or Spirit monster that is banished or in your GY, or choosing to set a Stars Align across the Milky Way from your Deck. Remember, Stars Align is a Trap Card that can let you Ritual Summon during the opponent's turn, so in effect, this Field Spell invalidates the need for using generic tech cards like Transonic Bird. That said, I'm still employing Urgent Ritual Art here, because who doesn't love more opportunities to Ritual Summon during the opponent's turn.

Now that we're through the new Spell, let's talk about the two new Level 4 Ritual Monsters. Shinobaron Shade Peacock and Shinobaronness Shade Peacock are the two newest members of the WIND Ritual crew, and these miniature versions of the Shinobarons we know and love provide immense amounts of consistency. After being Ritual Summonned, Baron Shade can be tributed to tutor both a Ritual Spell and any Spirit monster, while Baronness Shade just tutors a Spell/Trap that mentions "Spirit monster" in its text. This includes the new Field Spell, but also allows you to tutor Shinobird Salvation, a Continuous Trap that can provide additional removal as well as the ability to shut down an opponent's Battle Phase. The other key effect for the Shade Rituals is that they each Special Summon themselves the Standby Phase after they are banished, meaning that if you banish them from the GY to activate the theme's Ritual Spell, Shinobird's Calling, you get two more defenders for the opponent's turn. Just remember that you'll have to Ritual Summon them first! Let the winds of change update your Shinobaron deck, as you will now soar to consistently summoning Amano Iwato much earlier in the duel!
