Today's CDP features the brand-new wave of T.G. Support, racing to center stage with a few paired companion archetypes! For those of you who have never experienced the joy of the T.G. or Tech Genius archetype, this theme of monsters of all Types is all about Synchro Summoning, and ultimately Delta Accel Synchro Summoning using a Synchro Tuner monster and two or more Synchro non-Tuner monsters. This new wave of support simply augments that, giving the T.G. tools to modernize their approach to endless Synchro Summons, so let's start with the new cards. T.G. Rocket Salamander is the new Main Deck monster, a Level 1 non-Tuner that can Special Summon a T.G. from the GY or Tribute a T.G. to summon a new one from your Deck. In terms of the new Spells, T.G. - Break Limiter lets you tutor 2 T.G. monsters from your deck at the cost of a discard, while T.G. - All Clear gives you an additional T.G. Normal Summon as well as the ability to destroy a T.G. on your field or in your hand to tutor or recover one with a different name. The best new cards for the theme lie in the Extra Deck though, as T.G. Glaive Buster is the marquee Level 12 Synchro monster that can banish monsters on the field Special Summoned from the Extra Deck and Special Summon a monster that's banished face-up. On the other hand, T.G. Over Dragner can Special Summon any number of T.G. monsters from your GY when Synchro Summoned. Finally, to start off their combos, T.G. Mighty Striker tutors a T.G. Spell/Trap on Summon, and is a Level 2 Synchro Tuner for the archetype.
All in all, these new cards are each powerful in their own right. But, what you might not be apparent at face value is the sheer combos that exist, all originating from Mighty Striker. As you'll see some examples in the replays, I won't go too far down the rabbit hole, but a single copy of D/D Savant Kepler can lead through a full combo. To do so, Kepler is joined by both Dark Contract with the Gate and D/D Lamia to facilitate a one-card combo into a Level 2 Synchro monster. The other alternative path is via the new Diabellestarr and Sinful Spoils archetypes, as Diabellestarr the Dark Witch can tutor a copy of The Original Sinful Spoils - Snake-Eye, which Special Summons a Level 1 FIRE monster from the deck, aka T.G. Rocket Salamander. Similar to the D/D example, this can also lead into full combos. But enough about theory-crafting this new T.G. deck, get out there and boost out all of your T.G. Synchro Monsters! Clear your Mind, and SYNCHRO SOKKAN!
