Celeste: Chapter 7 + Hiccups - Part 1/2: Start - 2500 M

Chapter 7: The Summit (7A)
Variant Mode: Hiccups ON
Part 1: Start - 2500 M
So I finally completed 8C last week (yay!), and was looking through the New Game options when I noticed something called "[BETA] Variant Mode". Naturally, I was kind of curious, so I started a New Game, took a look through the Variant Mode options... and the one that immediately caught my eye was "Hiccups". =)
I tested Hiccups out a bit to see what sort of gameplay effect they had... and discovered that even though most of the time Hiccups would end up being a disadvantage... interestingly, there were also some ways in which they could actually be an advantage. ^_^
Which got me thinking... it might be fun (and/or aggravating!) to give them a try during an actual Chapter run. And I'd kind of been thinking about playing through Chapter 7 again (I like Chapter 7... among other reasons, because it has some of my favorite music in the game!), so...
Long story short:
- I started a New Game and did a test playthrough of Chapter 7 with Hiccups, just to see if it was possible.
- Some of the rooms seemed impossible at first... but eventually I figured out a way to solve each of them with Hiccups. ^^
- After verifying that 7A + Hiccups was indeed possible, I started yet another New Game... and of course had to use the name "Hiccup-eline". =)
- And so I recorded my second time through 7A + Hiccups.
- For this video, I cut out a LOT of the failed attempts... but not all of them!
- Despite everything that got cut, the video was still pretty long... so I split it into two parts.
- Due to a minor mishap, I accidentally deleted a couple files I shouldn't have... ^^; So I actually ended up having to re-record a couple sections. If anybody's curious, these will be pointed out in the notes below.
Anyway, despite the mishaps, annoyances, and aggravation of a Chapter 7 + Hiccups run... it was also a lot of fun. =) So anyway, hope you enjoy!
Part 1 notes and possible points of interest:
0:10 Hiccup-eline! 30:26.854 is the time it took to unlock Chapter 7 (I used 160% Speed + Infinite Dashes + Invincibility to get there relatively quickly). I found out later that there's apparently an "unlock all levels" code in the game, but I didn't know about it at the time. ^^;
0:25 Start
0:37 Variant Mode
0:49 I wanted to start the run with an example of Hiccups actually helping. =) Of course, soon enough there'll be many many instances where they uh, don't help, but... ^^;;
4:46 500 M
5:52 Just checking to make sure "up" was the proper path. ^^;
8:08 1000 M
8:58 (re-recorded this section (2 rooms))
12:41 1500 M
14:03 Timing note: There's a section near the end where you don't have much space to run under some anxiety blobs. Ideally, you'll want a Hiccup right before that section (while falling)... but due to the semi-random timing of hiccups, it can be difficult to get the timing right. ^^;
18:24 2000 M
22:05 Timing note: Try to get a hiccup right before the second time you land on the block.
22:33 (re-recorded this section (2 rooms))
26:02 2500 M
