From the makers of R.B.I. Baseball comes what is largely a Game Gear version of R.B.I. Baseball. Hey, no problems there! Batter Up is a fun and addictive game of arcade-style baseball that’s similar—in fact, almost identical—to Namco’s seminal R.B.I. Baseball. Same sprites, same screen layout, same great gameplay. Players choose a fictional team and begin to take on the rest of the Namco League. Unlike its cousin, however, Batter Up has no MLB licenses and features fictional teams and players. But still, the game’s so much fun, you won’t even care. Game Gear fans looking to eat up their AA batteries even faster should definitely insert Batter Up in their starting rotation.
