Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Foul Play for PC developed and published by Devolver Digital.

In a production that manufactures an artifice inside an artifice (in the style of Persona 4 Arena or Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door), this stage production of Dashforth's exploits is, itself, the entire game, with spotlights directing the action on occasion and a complex system of pulleys and cogs responsible for changing the scenery. But outside of those visual trappings, Foul Play positions itself as a high-intensity brawler, full of combos, enemies being flung around the stage like cannonballs, and copious cheering from the crowd if you manage to put on a good show. Complete a wave of foes without dropping your combo or taking damage, and a Perfect Scene bonus is awarded, while each act contains three additional challenges which unlock a reward at the end.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Foul Play for PC and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
