Golgo 13 Episode 2: The Riddle of Icarus review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow import review of Golgo 13 Episode 2: The Riddle of Icarus for Nintendo Famicom developed by Aicom and published by Vic Tokai.

Based on the longest-running manga series still in production, Takao Saito's world-famous assassin Duke "Golgo 13" Togo stars in this Famicom title that had Nintendo of America's censors in fits. From sexually explicit content to graphic violence to rather tame transgressions like tobacco use, developers Aicom made it clear that they were going to be true to the source material. The game itself features five distinct gameplay styles: Side-scrolling run-and-gun platforming, first-person 3D maze exploration, fixed-frame side-on boss battles, fast-paced driving segments, and the series' calling card, precision sniping simulations. These are combined, in various permutations, into six Acts of violence, action, and occasional story exposition, as a criminal syndicate hijack a weapons satellite and attempt to sow unrest in the last days of the Soviet Union.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Golgo 13 Episode 2: The Riddle of Icarus for Famicom and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
