Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the second part of the episodic Half-Life trilogy. Taking place directly after Episode One, Episode Two continues the story of Gordon Freeman and Alyx Vance as they fight against the Combine. The game takes a change from other games in the series by having the central location being outside in big open areas. This changes the gameplay by not having the feeling on claustrophobic locations. The gameplay is still classic Half-Life, with the best balance of high paced action sequences and complicated puzzle solving. While the game did run the risk of being isolated, by not having a real beginning or end because of being part of a trilogy, the changes do more than enough to make the game stand on its own.
