Often considered the greatest football video game ever, this 16-bit classic is the apex of arcade sports games. Originally released on the NES, Tecmo released updated versions just a few years later for the 16-bit consoles. Those versions retained the same iconic side-scrolling football gameplay, but they also made some subtle changes and improvements. Featuring simple, accessible gameplay that made football fun even for non-fans of the sport, Tecmo Super Bowl is a legendary game that spawned several sequels and is still played in tournaments to this day. Tecmo Super Bowl features single-player and local multiplayer play on the SEGA Genesis.
