The Soulcalibur series has been a one of the best fighting series since its debut on the Dreamcast and the second game took the series even further. Soulcalibur III does not really push the series forward too much but rather just provides a deep and polished fighter. The most impressive thing about the game is the amount of game options. There is the Tales of Souls which plays like an arcade mode, but also tournament mode, and even Chronicles of the Sword, which is like a real-time strategy game mixed with a fighter. It is disappointing to not see online play, but the amount of other modes more than makes up for this.
