CHALLENGE to the Poe2 Community | SMITH OF KITAVA IS NOT D-TIER | Path of Exile 2 [0.3]
17[EDIT] I forgot to mention this in the video but I did desecrate the maps with an abyss mod as well. Pick whatever you want.
Putting this challenge out so I can hopefully get some kind of baseline for what going fast in maps actually means in Path of Exile 2.
Do I think Smith of Kitava is S-tier and really strong and fast? No not really. But I just have no clue what I'm up against so let's see how quickly these others builds can clear maps.
The format:
Setup 10 maps with the Omen of Chaotic Monsters and hit them with 3 Distilled Greeds. Hit it with an abyss mod (prefix or suffix) and then blast. NO TOWERS NEEDED.
Record & time how long it takes you to clear the map + the abyss SKIPPING all other content that isn't rares/abyss. Don't run breach, ritual, etc.
If you can't record and just want to manually time yourself go ahead but at the end of all my runs I went back and took a screenshot of each map. Tossed the pngs into chatgpt to rip the map data and then added the times & map names manually to the spreadsheet linked below.

Theory behind my setup was that the chaotic omen would make the mods more consistent across the board because you'd see more of the same prefixes and suffixes between runs. This method isn't fullproof and if we want to do a better job of setting up initial conditions we can.
And yeah I did know DM's tierlist was generated by ChatGPT. I even gotta watch out for the robot haters in 2025 as a Smith main.
