Rui is a very simple character combo-wise, she has rejump stuff that's a little tricky, but even if you can't get that stuff down she does such good damage from simple combos like rekkas into super and from exceeds that you'll be fine.
Playstyle-wise she feels very much like analogous to a KOF character, her j.4B can even give her empty hop mix-ups if you use it to cancel an instant air dash. She has a pretty well rounded toolset but skews pretty heavily towards rushdown with her stance overhead and strong close normals. If you're new to chaos code she's a great character to pick up, especially if you're coming from a KOF background.
