This is a fun and fast arcade style shooter with a nice story.
You start with a basic ship and as you find/hunt/battle for resources, money, and parts so you can craft and upgrade your way to a killer ship to venture further into the world and ultimately find the big boss monster.

The game play is a lot of fun and can get quite addictive but I do have two major complaints....
Firstly- the targeting is for controllers only. If you try and play it with a keyboard and a mouse like I did you will find it quite annoying to use. When aiming there is an icon right next to the ship that points in the direction you will fire which works great for a controller but when using a mouse you need to know where the cursor is actually located or you don't know how far to move the mouse to get the pointer to the other side of the ship. They have left a VERY tiny circle on the screen for the mouse cursor but the number of times my game play was interrupted trying to find it was ridiculous. The solution is simple, they allow a large easily visible cursor for aiming with the mouse but it currently does not exist in the setting so you will find playing with a mouse very annoying.
Secondly- The crafting experimentation will indicate when you have found the correct item for a slot but unless you physically write it down it will disappear the next time you do anything. I mean, if we can just write it down, why not allow the game to just remember it so we don't have to?

Anyway, they are my only two complaints, aside from them the game is great! It has fantastic graphics, the game play is really fun and addictive and it all comes across as a high quality production so I have no problems recommending the title. I do hope they give a better mouse aiming cursor though.
