Check'n Niffelheim
1This game is great. It's almost like a side scrolling Terraria.
Initially I was dubious but I thought I'd better give it a shot and I'm really glad I did. Basically you find yourself in purgatory where you need to fight to stay alive. You are given a camp that you can expand and upgrade to a castle and inside there is access to your mines where you dig for ore and other items. When you explore the countryside you discover locations you can visit, animals you can kill or capture to farm, resources, and of course enemies you can slay. Your character can outfit himself with potions and armour and craft them at the respective crafting stations that can also be upgraded to craft higher level items. After a certain amount of time has passed a wave of enemies approach and if you haven't upgraded your castle enough they breach it and steal your supplies, a lot like the blood moons in Terraria.
It's basically a full featured RPG in a side scroller and it's great fun to play. Take a look at my video where I play it past the first wave of raiders and visit the neighbouring zones and city.
