Chess: The Worst Hanging Chess Piece Ever
We had symmetrical attacks at move 6, except that he could take my knight with his and be up a piece. I thought of that already and I was hoping for it when I made the move (so I could take back with my bishop).
But I didn't see that his queen could take my bishop after the trade. So that was my blunder and I realized it immediately after I moved.
But instead of him noticing that, he plays Qf3 trying to play for the fool's mate (Qxf7#) and to protect his f2 pawn. I saw that, but I also saw the chance to save my last move's blunder. So I played Bc6.
What I didn't notice was that I could have just taken his queen with my pawn LOL. He moved it right in the way, completely ignoring the pawn. And I didn't see it.
We both didn't see it for another 2 moves. My last move was exf3 (pawn takes his queen) and then he resigned. Before I realized his queen was hanging, I was going to take his knight with my own, which would have finally won my piece back. That was my goal all along lol.
