Chibi-Robo: Plug into Adventure (Blind) - Episode 5: Pirate of the Caring-Scene
0In today's episode of the "Chibi-Robo!" playthrough, we do a few more sweeps of the living room and kitchen, hear of a potential new threat known as the Spydorz, and learn why Captain Plankbeard lives in the basement.
As if things weren't tough enough, what with us being so small that something as simple as reaching a countertop feels like climbing Mt. Everest, we learn that there's a mysterious species known as the Spydorz that are hunting down Chibi-Robos. Though fortunately for us, it seems like the Spydorz haven't found us yet, allowing us to focus on more pressing matters, such as how we're going to reach the house's second floor or how some demonic-looking toy's trying to scam Plankbeard out of his money.
Though speaking of Plankbeard, like the Sarge, we learn that while he may come off as gruff, he's actually one of the more soft-hearted characters in the game since he actually banished himself to the basement because he'd rather live a life of isolation and shame than take money from a family that needs. And then meanwhile, we have Telly, a robot programed to take interest in the family's happiness and wellbeing, telling Plankbeard that it's ok to steal as long as it's just a little. Sure, the Sandersons' marriage is hanging on by a thread due to Mr. Sanderson's reckless spending and Jenny's visibly distraught, as seen by how she was crying on the stairs at night, but as long as we're only taking a little, it's all good.
